Responsible supplier relationship award was successfully renewed in 2018

On April 8, 2013, Sanofi was the first pharmaceutical company to receive a responsible supplier relations award. It was successfully renewed on 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

In France, we ratified the national “Charter of intercompany relations between large contractors and small/medium-sized enterprises (VSE-SMEs).” This charter sets out the commitments for responsible purchasing and aims to build mutual trust and promote innovation between suppliers and customers.

To go beyond our commitment to this charter, we, at Procurement, have developed a unique in-house SME plan sponsored by Guillaume Leroy, President Sanofi France. In 2015, we selected 40 French SMEs and start-ups based on innovation, agility and performance criteria and have been supporting them in their development (to the tune of €460,000 in terms of turnover with Sanofi), in creating employment (50 new contracts and more than 200K€ of financial help), and in expanding outside France with the support of our international procurement network.
