Build a Category Procurement strategy within a team of Stakeholders: Who does what?

  • Global level :
    • Define and continuously improve Category Procurement strategies leveraging a network of global and local lead buyers and business specifiers,
    • Monitor the execution of those strategies around proper KPI’s and well distributing activities among their category team: in particular the global and/or local management of our suppliers.
  • Local levels:
    • Execute and monitor Procurement strategies within a region and/or a country covering all the related activities
    • Contribute to strategy buildup and continuous improvements leveraging their intelligence of their local markets, suppliers and users
    • Delivering high procurement value to local users
  • Global/Local Lead specifiers :
    • They are the contributing Sanofi Internal partners of Procurement when it comes to defining and managing the present and future users demand within the category strategy: its specifications, its proper level of standardization across the countries and businesses.
    • They manage their own network of end users, in order to capture the various aspects of the internal demand for a given category of spend
    • They challenge the need as historically expressed by users and other specifiers
    • They formally co build the category procurement strategy with Procurement.
